Here's what happens when you can't pick up.
Your phone works the way it does now. The receptionist only takes the calls that would have gone to voicemail.

You get the call first
Your phone rings like always. If you or your crew pick up, nothing changes.

The receptionist picks up
It answers in your shop's name, during the day and after hours. It knows your services, your hours and the areas you cover, and it asks what the job is, where it is, and when works for them.

Call her back if you want to move it up.
If a caller asks something it can't answer, it takes their name, number and what they need, and you get that by email too.
Live within 72 hours. Here's the setup.
- 1
We build it from your website: your services, hours and the areas you cover. Anything we're unsure about, we ask you on the setup call.
- 2
We connect it to your calendar, or set one up that you can see on your phone.
- 3
You dial a short code on your phone to forward calls you don't answer. Your number stays the same, and you can turn it off the same way.
- 4
Before we call it live, we call it ourselves, try to trip it up, and check the booking shows up on your calendar.
- 5
Every month we go through how it handled your calls and fix anything it got wrong.
Paying for calls from Google or anywhere else? The receptionist picks up the ones you can't, so the calls you pay for get answered.
The second thing we do: more Google reviews.
Most happy customers never leave a review. Usually nobody asked twice. We follow up with every customer after every job, in your shop's name.
At the job
Your crew hands over a card with your review link.
Thanks for having us out. If you have a minute later, we'd appreciate an honest Google review. Scan here.

Hi Maria,
Thanks again for having us out yesterday.
If you have a minute, an honest Google review would mean a lot to us. Here's the link:

Hi Maria,
Just one more nudge in case yesterday's email got buried. This is the last one.
Your Shop
Every Monday you get a one-page report: new reviews, which crew is handing out the card, how you compare to shops near you, and a reply drafted for each new review that only posts after you OK it.
Use Skimmer? We start with the cards and email, and add the text once we've checked it works with your account.
Two things we do. Pick one or both.

The review rules we follow
Every customer gets asked the same way. We don't pick and choose.
Nobody gets a discount or a gift for a review.
We never write reviews, buy reviews, or post anything for your customers.
We don't promise a number of reviews or a star rating. Google decides what it shows.
Questions owners ask
- Do I keep my phone number?
- Yes. Calls you don't answer get forwarded to the receptionist. Your number, your listings and your business cards stay the same.
- What if I want to answer my own calls?
- You still do. It only picks up calls that would have gone to voicemail, and you can turn forwarding off with a short code anytime.
- How does it know my business?
- We set it up from your website and a 15-minute call with you. If it gets something wrong, we fix it.
- Will it stop Google from charging me?
- No. Google charges what it charges, and a call the receptionist answers or books still counts as a lead. What changes is that the calls you pay for get answered, so you get a shot at the job.
- Will callers know it's not a person?
- Yes. At the start of every call it says it's your shop's AI assistant and that the call is recorded and transcribed. If someone asks whether it's a person, it tells them the truth.
- Does it work nights and weekends?
- Yes. It answers whenever you don't, including after hours.
- Who gets asked for a review?
- Every customer, the same way. We don't pick and choose.
- Is there a contract?
- No. Both are month to month. Cancel with 30 days' notice by email, no fee.
Who's behind this
I'm local. I live in Kissimmee. I started Ask Twice after seeing how hard it is for small shops to answer every call and keep up with reviews while they're out on jobs.
Tell me a little about your shop and I'll get back to you to set up a 15-minute call. No pitch deck.
